Dr. Tiara Smith is a native of Athens, GA and a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. After obtaining graduate degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Phoenix, Smith designed a curriculum for her church’s summer enrichment program. Smith is a member of the Athens Alumnae Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College. Her first publication was in 2017 as a co-author in Sisterhood Story: An Anthology of Eta Mu Tau Fictional Stories, published by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In 2019, she published her first solo project, the children's book Destination...HBCU.
